Dublin City Council has said there may be more traffic restrictions needed to deal with the gridlock at College Green.
Dublin Bus has already reduced the number of services going through the area by 20%, but it is still majorly congested.
Longer Luas lines will start to be used over the next two weeks, which will only add to the problem.
The city's council assistant CEO Dick Brady said further restrictions on traffic could be introduced.
Councillors are set to meet with representatives from the National Transport Authority today to discuss the issue, 98fm reports.
