Motorists Urged To Keep Sleeping Bags And Food In Cars As Ireland Braces For Onslaught Of Snow

With the news that Met Éireann has now upgraded its national weather warning from yellow to orange, people around the country are being urged to prepare for 'disruptive accumulations' of snow in the coming days.

Motorists in particular are being asked to take care as snow and ice is set to affect driving conditions around Ireland.

This morning, Dublin Fire Brigade issued advice which includes ensuring that items such as sleeping bags, food and bottled water are kept in cars at all times.

Earlier, Dublin was among seven counties issued with an orange weather warning which will be in effect from Tuesday February 27 at 3pm until Wednesday February 28 at 11am.
