Stop Panicking – These Shops Are Open Around Dublin On Christmas Day

After all the Christmas shopping you’ve been doing every day over the last two months, it still didn’t cross your mind to get enough milk for the 25th.

As well as this, you forgot to pick up batteries for the toys for the fourth year in a row. Marvellous.

Fear not, we’ve compiled a list of the places that are still open if you’re stuck throughout the morning or day.

Circle K:

Formerly known as Topaz, these store are normally renowned for being open throughout the day on the 25th.

They have around 420 outlets dotted around the country and over 60 stores in Dublin alone.

Heads up, Topaz stores that haven’t been open in the past on Christmas Day are: Dublin Port, Omni, Maypark, Beaumont, Blessington Road, RSC, Glenview, The Square, Greenhills Road, Tullow Road and Grange Castle.

The rest are normally open between at least 9am-2pm.

Applegreen:

Applegreen has 55 stores in Dublin and like other years, most of their branches are open.

They have no list of specific branch opening times available on their site but like most years, their 24 hour stores will still be opening on Christmas Day.

Lovin Dublin reached out to Applegreen for confirmation of these times but hasn’t received feedback yet.

McGuire’s Mount Merrion Stores:

“We are open up until Lunchtime on Christmas day. A great tradition. Love seeing all the folks on Christmas morning.

“Batteries, Penny sweets, ice cream and cream are the peak trade on the day,” said the owner of McGuire’s. A good place if you’re stuck.

Deliveroo:

Deliveroo will be available across Ireland this Christmas thanks to its new Marketplace+ service.

This will be the first time hungry customers will be able to order their favourite takeaway dishes on December 25th through Deliveroo.

Those looking for something tasty just need to log-on to the Deliveroo app between 8 am and Midnight (dependent on local restaurant operating hours) and will be able to order from lots of great local takeaways who operate on Christmas Day.
