PIC: The Back Page’s Free Lunch This Week Is A Hilarious Tribute To Fernando The Ballybrack Soccer Player

We’re not even going to ask if you’ve heard about Fernando, the Ballybrack footballer.

He’s made headlines all over the world – in his native Spain and beyond – and has had songs and tributes written to him.

Fernando Nuno La Fuente is alive and well and living down in Galway and has found the whole situation quite funny.

His death was faked by his former Dublin club, Ballybrack FC, and it soon emerged that he had resurrected from the death.

Headlines such as ‘One footie in the grave’ and ‘Ballybrack From The Dead’ ran across newspapers on Wednesday morning and the saga will continue for another few days for sure.

The Back Page has announced that there is free lunch for anyone called Fernando this week, but the conditions aren’t as simple as that.

Your name has to be Fernando, you’ve had to have played or currently play for Ballybrack and you need to be alive.

So, Fernando, if you’re looking to head up to Dublin for some grub, just know that you’re owed free food in The Back Page.
