If you’re feeling more like the Grinch than Buddy The Elf, perhaps what you need is a good Christmas movie to get you in the mood for the big festivities.

Happenings in collaboration with Dublin City Council are putting on a very special open-air Christmas screening of The Polar Express in St. Anne’s Park next month.

The magical event will be taking place on Thursday December 21 from 6:30pm and the park will be transformed into a lovely winter setting with Christmas trees surrounding you.

The animated film follows a young boy who embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express.

It’s perfect for the family and seeing it on the big screen outdoors is something you’ll always remember – just be sure to wrap up warm!

The gates open at 5:30pm and the film starts at 6:30pm and there will be delish food and drinks available to buy from Olive’s Room.

While there will be some seating provided, it would be best to bring your own blankets to sit on and wrap up in.

Tickets are just €5 each and you can book them here.
