mariemadden

If you travel to work by bike, bus or car, then you might want to leave the house a bit early next week.

The last phase of the Luas Cross City project begins on Monday and will see the South Quays closed at O’Connell Bridge for eight days to facilitate works on the new tram system.

The restrictions will come into effect between 8pm on Friday 4th August and 6am on Saturday 12 August, with smaller works taking place on Bachelor’s Walk.

O’Connell Bridge will remain open to traffic travelling both Northbound and Southbound traffic but those travelling through the city have been warned that diversions will in place and have advised people to use alternative routes.

You’ll find full information on the changes and maps of the diverted routes here.
