Is there anything worse than running like a mad person into the shop for just ONE MINUTE  – only to come out and find your precious car has just been clamped.

It’s fairly devastating.

Dublin City Council has received 63 complaints about clamping on its appeals system from May 2016 – May 2017, with people hoping to have their parking ticket fine overturned.

Most of these offences were in the city centre, with Dublin’s top clamping hotspots revealed.

These are the areas you need to be really careful about parking on:

2. Waterloo Road

3. Gardiner Street Lower 

4. Merrion Square West 

5. South Circular Road

6. Burlington Road 

7. Ormond Quay Upper 

8. Wolfe Tone Street 

9. Earlsfort Terrace 

10. D’Olier Street
