Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day has been marked since 1979, when the company used it to thank customers at its first store in Burlington, Vermont.
Since then, it has exploded with over 1 million scoops giving out during the 2015 edition.
This year, it will take place on Tuesday April 9 and there should be more than enough to go round for sweet-toothed Dubliners who want to get involved. More information can be found here.
