A list compiled by The Sunday Times of the 25 Best Schools In Ireland 2017 has featured four Dublin secondary schools in the top 10.
The schools are ranked based on the percentage of second-level students over a three-year period who progress to third-level education.
Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ in Limerick came out on top – with 93.7% of students going on to university, while the Dublin schools in the top 10 were:
4th: Teresian College, Donnybrook (Girls)
5th: Colaiste Iosagain, Booterstown (Girls)
8th: Gonzaga College, Ranelagh (Boys)
10th: Loreto College, St. Stephen’s Green (Girls)
Interestingly, all of the top 13 schools were single sex schools, with only two out of the 25 mixed.
