This Hurler Pulled Out A Brilliant Simpsons Reference During An Interview

Like Father Ted, it's not easy to go a day in Ireland without someone referencing a classic line from The Simpsons.

Cuala hurler Shane Stapleton, originally from Tipperary, pulled out a cracker when interviewed for Eir Sport after his side clinched the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship against local rivals Kilmacud Crokes yesterday.

Springfield v Shelbyville is a commonly-used analogy when someone is describing how much two towns dislike each other and when Stapleton did just that when outlining the frosty relations between Cuala from Dalkey and Crokes from Stillorgan. Take a look.
