The 10 Best Places To Eat A Burger In Dublin

niallharbison

Last week we shared the top 7 places to eat chicken wings in Dublin and after a remarkable 10,000 shares on Facebook for that post alone we decided it was time to take on a much bigger subject…The best burger in Dublin. It is a subject that is close to many of our hearts and I don’t expect for everybody to agree but I’ve made my best attempt having eaten all the burgers and taken public opinion into consideration. What I do know is that writing this post had me absolutely fucking starving and drooling out the side of my mouth like a 60 year old sex tourist in Vietnam. Have a look through the list and feel free to argue your point in the comments or share any that I’ve missed. Most of all make sure to head down and try one of these bad boys on the list this week if you haven’t already…

10.Herbstreet

Been on the scene now for a few years and their burger is top notch and very consistent. They also do great brunch, wings and all sorts of wonderful lunch fare but if you are down in the docks anytime soon make sure to check out their epic burger.

9.The Morrison Hotel

Probably on the highest end of the price range given that this is a hotel but they have always put great love into their burger since the first day they opened. Comes with all the toppings which allows you to build it as you see fit. Only downside for me are the chunky chips which I am not a fan of but this is a burger competition and they kill it on that front.

8.Rustic Stone

They call it the Glam burger and they do that for good reason because this is very much the real deal. You’ll want to get it served medium and this isn’t just about the meat because their relish and other toppings are out of this world.

7.Dillingers

Probably the most like an American diner especially since their refit. The thing about the burger here is that it is just as much about the experience with pumping tunes and awesome beers that make this worth enjoying. This is the burger to have at the weekend after a big night out.

6.Damson Diner

The 2nd diner on the list and the casual way in which the burger is served shouldn’t fool you because this is cooking of the very best standard. Lovely flavor in the meat and lots of great sides and sauces to be had.

5.Beeftro

You’d expect a place that prides itself on it’s beef to make the list and they don’t let us down. For an extra bonus you can get this burger in the warmer months cooked on their BBQ but it is well worth sampling at anytime of the year.

4.Counter Burger

This is the place to come if you want to mix up your toppings and get something really special and unique. Extra marks for getting something that despite so many additions can actually fit into your mouth.

3.Bobos

Another classic on the Dublin scene with awesome burgers that get cooked in front of you. They now have two locations and this is the one to have when on a night out about town either before drinking as soakage or on the way home with late opening hours.

2.Jo Burger

I’m not a fan of burgers that are so big they don’t fit in your mouth but loads of people are and Jo burger doesn’t let you down with desperate Dan style baps and fillings. Come in all shapes and sizes and with a couple of locations and hip music this is one of the best known burger spots in Dublin.

1.Bunsen

Still fairly new to the scene in Dublin but this is the one that wins it hands down for me. Some people might be unimpressed by the simplicity and size of the burgers but this is the perfect burger for me and exactly what Americans love. Huge focus on the beef, wonderful brioche buns and no bullshit with simple classic toppings make this the best burger in town by a mile.

The View From Dubliners

I am only one person with a particular taste so I decided to ask people on Twitter what they thought the best burger in Dublin was and there were some very interesting answers…
