Coolio giving a shout out to Ringsend. Not something you would expected to hear back in the rapper’s 1990s heyday.
The Gangsta’s Paradise star has struck up quite a friendship with Dublin duo Versatile in recent times, even inviting the pair on stage during his Leopardstown show earlier this year. Since then, the new-found buds have been spotted filming around Dublin and today the fruits of their labour have been revealed.
Versatile have shared the final video for Escape Wagon, their collaboration with Coolio and the clip is very Dublin-focused it has to be said.
The lyrics are a little bit on the NSFW side so if you are in the office or on the bus, now might be a good time to put your earphones in.

Versatile, comprising of Eskimo Supreme and Casper Walsh, are now regarded by many as Ireland’s most popular rap group. They were one of the highlights of the Longitude Festival this year and later this month they will perform the largest ever rap show by an Irish group to date.
