Conor McGregor’s Dad Has Spoken Out About Recent Rumours Regarding His Son

Tony McGregor, father of MMA star Conor, has spoken out regarding recent rumours involving his son.

Widespread reports have linked the younger McGregor to a pub brawl in Crumlin on Sunday night during which the father of a well-known criminal was punched in the head. 

Tony has now dismissed the rumours as "nonsense", telling the Irish Mirror:

 “That’s all nonsense, that is. Absolute nonsense. It’s an absolute nonsense story.

“It’s grown legs and it’s getting that ridiculous – it’s become funny. We have nothing to fear here whatsoever. There’s no one after us for anything.

“We’re a law-abiding family and we’ve stayed a law-abiding family.”

Yesterday, reports emerged that Gardaí had began to examine CCTV footage of the alleged incident but Tony said that they were yet to be in touch. 

“Guards have no reason to be in touch. Why would they?”

Amid the storm, UFC boss Dana White has suggested that Conor may never fight in the octagon again.
