Karen’s story

So my partner and I got engaged last year and we were looking to rent out a private house as the wedding venue. 

We were attending a viewing and we arrived to be greeted by a woman standing in the doorway waving at us. 

The woman was in fact was my ex’s mother – an ex that it did not end well with. 

Even after a couple of years since our breakup, she still recognised me and after an awkward hug and hello we were given an entire 45 minute tour of the house, full of small talk. 

We all knew it was a massive, awkward waste of time. 

But the worst part about it is that the house was amazing (sigh).
