Lucy’s story 

Years ago when Tower Records was on Wicklow Street, they had an air guitar contest to win a Gibson guitar. 

All you had to do was stand in the window and do your best air guitar. 

The only problem was that I was the only girl who didn’t chicken out. 

While the song selection for the guys veered towards Ash, U2 and Horslips – they gave me Paddy Casey. 

Never mind the cringe of trying to air guitar like a muppet to Paddy Casey but who turned up to enjoy the spectacle? 

My ex. 

Longest three and a half minutes of my life.
