Amy's story

I went to town on my own one day to chill.

I was walking along down Bachelor’s Walk stuffing my face with chips when I run into my ex.

I attempted to brush him off and get away (he cheated on me multiple times) but he proceeded to walk alongside me and ask me endless questions.

We were crossing the Ha'penny Bridge when we bump into an old friend of his who I’d slept with a week previous.

My ex started chatting away to him, giving him the impression that we were hanging out and still so close.

Meanwhile I stood there speechless.

The old friend left to go to work and my ex continued to follow me.

He then proceeded to tell me that he had loads of money and if I gave him another chance he would buy me a ring right there and then (we were both 18 at this moment in time).

He then gets down on his knees, hugs my knees and starts singing the lyrics of ‘The Man Who Can't Be Moved’ by The Script.

It was the most mortifying moment of my life and I, of course, declined.
