Each week, we team up with the stylish folks behind Opsh to spot the top fashion trends in Dublin…
Autumn has well and truly begun, so we thought we’d mark this momentous occasion in the annual fashion calendar by paying tribute to our favourite trans-seasonal cover up: the trench coat. Originally worn by Army officers during the First World War, the trench coat has become a wardrobe staple for men and women of every age. Traditionally, the Army trench coat was khaki in colour, but design houses like Burberry and Aquascutum – both of whom claim ownership over its invention as a fashion item – have re-designed it in shades like beige, black, navy, grey and even bolder shades of pink and aqua blue. As you can see from the images below, Dubliners were loving their trenches this week, from smart work macs to oversized fashion pieces. If you’re looking for a trench but don’t have the cash to splash on a designer piece, then check out Opsh’s top trench picks from your favourite high street stores below.
