Save A DSPCA Dog This Week…

emmakenneally

The DSPCA have lots of gorgeous, friendly dogs of all shapes and sizes this week that are hoping to be adopted into a loving home. Have a look at the dogs below and call out to the shelter in Rathfarnham to meet them in person. We especially want to see Olivia adopted this week as she has been so long waiting for a new home, could you welcome her to your family?

1. Albert

Hi my name is Albert and I’m a 3 year old mixed breed… Some people say I’m a lurcher and others  say I’m a big terrier… some even say that I’ve a bit of dalmatian in me… Check out my spotty ears! I’m a really sweet  boy who loves people and cuddles. I get on great with other dogs and will make a wonderful family pet for a home with children 8+. I’m not suitable for a home with cats, small furries or any livestock.

2. Harley

My name is Harley. I’m a big handsome 4 year old Boxer. I came into the care of the DSPCA as my owners could no longer take care of me. I am a big adorable pet, well behaved and house-trained. I love the company of people and other dogs. As you can see from my size I’m a strong man and would be best suited to an adult only home or a family with teenage children. I am quiet confused here and not used to shelter life so I really hope to find a loving new forever home very soon 🙂

3. Pepper

My name Pepper and I’m a stunning 2.5 year lurcher boy. I was adopted from the DSPCA as a puppy but my owner was no longer able to look after me and so I’m back looking for a new a family that will love and keep me forever! I’ve lots of energy and I’m great with other dogs. I love to play! An active family with teenagers or adults only would be the best home for me!

4. Billy

My name is Billy. I’m a very loving 5 year old Springer Spaniel. I was found straying all alone with very sore ears. I was given all the care and veterinary treatment I needed in the DSPCA and I am a very content happy doggie.  I’ve lots of energy and would love to find an active family with teenage children.

5. Olivia

***SPECIAL APPEAL***My name is Olivia and I’m a 3 year old Lurcher. I am a sweet lady with a fabulous personality. I came to the DSPCA because I had nobody to look after me and I had a very sore tail. I get on well with some dogs, but I don’t like others. I would be suitable for a home with other male sighthounds. I would like a home with children 16+, or an adult only home. Like all Lurchers, once I have a good walk, I will pretty much sleep for the rest of the day. I am a real lazy lump! I would enjoy doing some training too. I would not be suitable for cats or small furries… They are too much fun to chase. I have been in the shelter a while now for no reason. I would really love a home this summer. Looking to add a new friend to your sighthound pack? I’m your girl!

6. Gucci

My name is Gucci and I’m a 3 year old Chihuahua Jack Russell Terrier cross. I am a lovely boy with a sweet personality. I came to the DSPCA because my owner could no longer look after me. I have grown up in a family home so would be a nice family dog for a home with quiet children 8+. I get on well with most other dogs, but I can be a little nervous to start with. I would suit a family with experience of Chihuahuas or Jack Russell Terriers and who love going on lots of walks!

If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs above from the DSPCA then please come and visit the shelter. The DSPCA is located at Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
