This 12 Year Old Irish Uilleann Pipes Player Will Blow Your Mind

Great to see the tradition of Irish music still going strong with the next generation

People who attended the Fleadh Cheoil in Sligo recently would have been treated to some wonderful displays of traditional music and if they were lucky, they would have caught a glimpse of 12-year old Cian Smith from Waterford.

We're told by Cian's cousin Katie Corbett that he won first place in the tin whistle and uilleann pipes competitions at the Fleadh and when you hear what he’s capable of, it’s not really a surprise.

A video uploaded to Facebook recently by Cian’s teacher, David Power, has been viewed almost 500,000 times and has been shared by nearly 13,000 people and even if you’re not a fan of traditional music, it’s easy to appreciate his amazing talent.
