The doughnut is mightier than the sword, or so the people of Dublin believe at the minute. Those doughy lumps of joy and sugar have well and truly taken over the city.
The newest edition to this sugary sorority is none other than Offbeat Donuts, located at Pearse Street DART station, on Westland Row.
They claim their treats are nothing short of a doughnut experience, and having tested them, we’re inclined to agree. The staff at Offbeat make their donuts daily fresh on site right in front of their hungry customers. But it’s their unique recipes that really make them stand out.
You can get anything from Strawberries ‘n’ Cream to Caramel Apple to Ferrero Rocher (we know), and they’re making new flavours every time.
With inexpensive prices AND the option to customise your donut, Offbeat certainly seems to be giving other confectionary haunts in the city a run for their money.
The donut population in Dublin is ever-growing, and if the opening of Offbeat Donuts shows us anything – it’s that the standard is only getting higher.
