Well this might get awkward.
After a fraught election campaign, the emotions have really come pouring out today – and after voting ended at 10pm, so too did the controversial rules governing what presenters could or could not say in relation to the referendum.
RTÉ was particularly stringent in its interpretation of the BAI’s rules, and this seems to have really rubbed up Eoghan McDermott – presenter of The Voice – the wrong way. As soon as the polls closed, he took to Twitter to voice his dissatisfaction with his employers, and to say what he couldn’t say up until an hour ago.
He didn’t hold back either…
