RTÉ has had some hilarious moments over the years, and we thought we’d take a moment to appreciate ’em.

We all fuck up from time to time, but when it’s caught live on air there’s no escaping the immediate social media fallout.

Here are the top seven telly fails that brought us all together to lol at our nation’s broadcaster.

1. The famous typing fail

We’ve all been there. You’re stuck in the office with 20 minutes to go until sweet escape.

The perfect time to ‘catch up on some emails’… Not.

This fella got caught rotten. Awwwwkward.

2. The poor fecker who slipped on ice

Gone, but never forgotten.

If there was ever a way to break the ice on live television, this certainly did the trick.

We’re familiar with that feeling ever winter. Living in fear of that moment where your whole life flashes before your eyes as you slowly, but surely, fly through the air to land painfully on your arse.

Ouch.

3. The two young wans who tried to get one over on Martina Fitzgerald

Wash your mouths out with soap lads.

Poor Martina will never catch a bleedin’ break (thank God, ’cause they’re fucking gas).
