The Beautiful DSPCA Animals For Adoption

emmakenneally

This week the DSPCA have sent us on some of the animals that are up for adoption in their shelter in Rathfarnham. If you’re thinking of getting a pet, have a look at the beautiful dogs and cat below. You may recognise Archie and Cody from previous weeks, they are still looking for homes along with some new animals who are also being cared for in the centre.

1.Lann

My name is Lanna and I’m a 10 month old German Shepherd collie cross. I am a very sweet girl who loves to play. I am great with people and I love other dogs. I am a high energy girl who would be great at training classes. I would love to do agility too! I would suit a family with teenagers or adults only because I can be a bit LANNA BANANAS!

2. Archie

My name is Archie and I’m a 4.5 year old Collie Labrador cross. I am a very friendly man with a really sweet personality. I will make a lovely family pet for anyone with kids 8+. I have lots of energy and I love playing with my tennis ball. I am a wonderful guy who deserves an equally wonderful home. My new home needs to be cat free… they are too much fun to chase!

3. Bobo

My name is Bobo and I’m a big, beautiful 18 month old Samoyed. I am a handsome boy with a sweet, gentle personality. I get on well with most other dogs, but I do love attention. I would probably be better as an only dog so I can be the centre of your life! I would suit a home with teenagers, or adults only because I can be a little nervous. I have a long, fluffy coat that will need daily brushing and I will shed a lot, so my new owner needs to be prepared for this! I love to go on long walks and I would be great at training classes!

4.Willie

My name is Willie and I am a cute little 3 year old Chihuahua. I came to the DSPCA because I was found hiding under a bush with a huge abscess on my shoulder. The vets in here sorted me out and now I’m ready to find my new home. I am a very cute little guy with a typically Chihuahua outlook on life! Everything is mine and I am king of the world! I would be a great addition to an adult only home, with or without another dog. I would love to be the centre of your life!

5. Parker

My name is Parker and I’m a 1 year old Terrier cross. I am a nervous little man who is looking for a quiet home, preferably with another dog to help me come out of my shell. I love company and like all Terriers I love my walks. My new owner needs to be very patient and gentle with me. I would not be suitable for children or a busy household, I am just not ready for that yet. I am looking for a very special someone, is it you?

6. Cody

My name is Cody and I’m a 1.5 year old Rottweiler. I came to the DSPCA because my owner’s circumstances changed and it was safer for my sister and I to find new homes. I am a very sweet boy and I am a bit more chilled out than my sister. I love nothing more than snoozing on the sofa. I would be a great pet for a family with children 16+. I need a home with no other dogs, but I do get on well with most other dogs I meet. I would be great at training classes – I would do anything for a treat! I would not suit living with cats. Come visit me at the shelter and say hello!

7.  Katie

Hi, I’m Katie and I’m a dainty girl who is a ripe age of 15. My black and white coat is so soft, and my eyes so big and bright but I am a bit sad here in the cattery. When I came in, I was in pretty bad shape and it took the staff a long time to get me back on to my fluffy paws. I am really just a shy little thing who wants to be loved more than anything else in the world. If you are looking for a kitty who really deserves a second chance, head straight to my pod and take me home with you!

If you are interested in adopting any of the dogs above from the DSPCA then please come and visit the shelter. The DSPCA is located at Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. The shelter is open 7 days a week from 11am – 4.30pm. You can also call the adoptions team on 01 499 4710.
