Commuters passing through Rathmines got a bit of a shock this evening as a power outage led to all lights in the area going out.
Just after half past five, the suburb descended into darkness just as the evening rush was taking place. Everything from street lights to bank machines stopped working, causing problems for diners and business owners in the area.
