Dublin has verrrry recently (as in it literally popped up in the last day or so) become home to this class mural of rapper Stormzy.
It’s been painted in Smithfield, in Haymarket just off the main square, and features a still from Stormzy’s song Shut Up – an amazing likeness, too.
Stormzy is playing in the Olympia this Wednesday night (it’s already sold out, soz) and is also headlining on the Friday night at Longitude at Marlay Park on July 14th.
We’d say his fans all over the city are going CRAZY over this piece, which was done by new group Subset, who told 98FM they chose to paint Stormzy ” “due to the fact that we all think he’s a complete boyo”, and that they’re hoping he’ll stop by the mural while he’s in town this week.
Hanging around this mural would be a good chance to catch a sight of the London rapper we think?
Especially now that Stormzy himself has spotted the piece…
