A Dublin Fire Brigade engine was damaged during a call-out last night after rocks were thrown at one of its side windows.
Taking to Twitter, the emergency service shared pictures of the vandalism, writing: “Sadly, one of our Dolphin’s Barn fire engines suffered window damage tonight, after rocks were thrown at it.”

Members of the public have expressed anger over the attack, calling it “mindless” and “shameful”.
“99.9% of decent people really appreciate the great service you provide to the community,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Hope nobody was hurt.”
