Ever consider naming your first born after one of your prized photography app filters?! According to the latest polls over at Babycenter, it would seem that you are most certainly not alone.
Apparenlty, some of the hottest trends in baby names shared monikers with everyone’s favourite photo app, Instagram.
The site says that names of the photo-sharing apps presets were extremely popular this year for newborns, with Lux being the top choice, up an impressive 75% since 2014. Juno, Reyes, Ludwig, Amaro, Willow, Hudson and Kelvin all climbed up the list from last year too.
Valencia and Juno were the favourites for little girls, up 26% and 30% respectively since last year.
BabyCenter’s annual report is based on the names of more than 340,000 babies born this year to parents registered on its website. The top 100 list also combines names that may sound the same but have different spellings.
Let’s hope the trend continues well into 2016, bringing us several other glorious names such as X-PRO-II, Inkwell and 1977, because internet.
