There’s only one thing in this world better than a really great meal.
A really great and really great value meal.
Mmm! There’s just nothing like it.
We’re big fans of getting stuck into the many hidden gems Dublin has to offer its hungry, hungry nation – and this week we’re raving about a coastal restaurant that boasts good views, great food and an Early Bird that’s worth travelling for.
Feast your eyes on Bon Appetit, Malahide
Their Early Bird menu is as tempting as it is lavish – with dishes like Pan-Fried Hake Fillet with Summer Green Vegetables, Salted Grapes and Confit Chorizo, Wilted Spinach and Soy and Ginger Glazed Beef Short Rib, Shiitake and Enoki Miso Broth, Celeriac Noodles gracing their July menu, which changes monthly.
How can two courses of these divine dishes be just €17?!
The price for two courses is €17 and for three courses is €22.
We’ve often perused menus where one dish costs €22, so this is a sheer delight to see.
We’ve also been informed by the powers-that-be that diners can upgrade their main courses to their Slow Cooked Chateaubriand of Hereford Beef, Rosemary and Hazelnut Butter, Tomato Hissop and Feta Salad for a €5 supplement or their 40 Day Dry Aged Rib Eye, 227g/8oz of Pure Hereford Irish Beef for a €10 supplement if they so wish.
Prime cuts of beef with a starter for €32? You can’t really go wrong here.
Considering their location, Bon Appetit also offers an incredible seafood menu – spanning from Lemongrass and Ginger Scented Seafood Chowder, Chilli and Coriander Oil to Pan-Fried Hake Fillet with Summer Green Vegetables, Salted Grapes and Confit Chorizo, Wilted Spinach.
Now if that doesn’t make your mouth water – we don’t know what will.
Bon Appetit’s Early Bird Menu is available Tuesday to Thursday from 18:00 to 18:45 and Friday to Sunday from 17:00 to 18:15.
