I don’t know about you but I have a real problem eating a good breakfast every morning. Too often I get stuck eating a shitty croissant that I know is bad for me washed down with bad coffee and that really isn’t what your body needs during the most important part of the day. Thats why I came up with this quirky twist on a smoothie that is packed full of good shit, easy to make and actually so filling you won’t need anything else before lunchtime. Especially good in the summer…
Instructions
Step 1
You’ll want to make this fresh every morning. If you are a grumpy bastard like me in the mornings you might want to prep the ginger in advance as that is a bit of a pain in the hole first thing to be fiddling with
Step 2
A super little trick to peel the Kiwis and not lose much of the good stuff. Top and tail them using a sharp knife.
Step 3
Then grab a big spoon and run it around the outside of the skin until it is all peeled perfectly. Once you learn this trick you can pretend you are a proper chef!
Step 4
Peel the bananas and lash them in. Don’t really need to go into more detail because if you can’t figure this part out you are probably better off out of the kitchen
Step 5
LIke I said peeling ginger is a bit of a chore. You can use a knife or even the back of a spoon. You’ll want a decent chunk of it but not so much that it overpowers the whole drink
Step 6
Slice the ginger up and pop it into the blender. The ginger is full of goodness and will give you a natural energy boost.
Step 7
Lash in a good handful of porridge oats. Makes it nice and thick and fills you up for breakfast.
Step 8
Lash in the milk. If you want it thinner more milk and thicker more banana. Simples.
Step 9
The yoghurt is the last ingredient and gives it a lovely smooth velvety texture
Step 10
Blitz the hell out of the whole thing
Step 11
Pour it out and serve it up nice and cold and if you really wanted to it would last for a couple of hours in the fridge but better throwing it into the gut all in one go.
Step 12
There you go. Full of goodness and ready in minutes.
Our body needs fuel and the better stuff we put into it during the first hour of the day the better we will work in general. Don’t be a lazy bastard and take the 5 minutes it takes to throw this together and you’ll find your energy and health soaring.
