What an opportunity this is.
It’s a good time to be a Dublin fan. As they currently polish off their four All-Ireland medals from the last four seasons, you just know that the team will be gunning for a five-in-a-row.
And no man knows about winning All-Irelands more than Michael Darragh Macauley.
He has five All-Ireland’s with Dublin and as well as that he has racked up eight Leinster titles and two all-stars for his county.
Ah, not too bad is it?
The midfielder scored the final point of this year’s All-Ireland final and is offering up the pair of boots that he wore on the day for a Concern Worldwide competition.
He was announced as Concern’s new brand ambassador earlier this year and travelled to Kenya to see the organisation’s aid programmes in the slums of Nairobi.
“Visiting Kenya was a humbling experience and it was amazing to see the incredible work that is being done out there. I even got to play some football with the school children in Nairobi so I’m delighted now to be able to give away my boots from the All-Ireland to support Concern’s work.
“It was a very special day for the team and me, so I hope they’ll go to a good home.”
The competition is part of Concern’s ‘One Step’ campaign and if you’re looking to get your hands (or should we say feet) on the boots, all you have to do is like and share this video by the Ballyboden St. Enda’s player to be in with a chance to win.
