When you consider the fact that you’re not even technically supposed to use your phone on a forecourt, it seems something of a miracle that this didn’t escalate into something far more serious.
A derelict house in Portmarnock went up in flames last night, and required four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade to extinguish it.
But what made the situation look all the more frightening was the fact that this house was located right beside the Texaco petrol station.

Thanks to the efforts of the Dublin Fire Brigade, it was all controlled promptly and no injuries were reported.
