In keeping with the quality we’ve come to expect from Ireland’s leading talk show, and RTÉ’s flagship programme, The Late Late Show had a segment on sheep farming last night. Seriously.
As tame as that sounds, however, the segment provoked an outcry from viewers who believed it endorsed animal cruelty.
Some people were outraged by the ‘lamb carousel’ (which you can see in the clip above), while others were simply baffled by its inclusion in the show.

Farmers defend the lamb carousel device as the more humane option when handling the animals, but I think we can all agree that this was an absolutely ridiculous thing to showcase on prime time television in the first place.
