We’ve something here that’s likely to make Repeal the 8th supporters’ blood boil.
Recently we shared a video called We Face This Land – from director Dave Tynan and starring a host of well-known faces including Aoibhinn McGinnity, Charlene McKenna, Una Mullaly and Tara Flynn – containing a powerful message in support of women’s rights in Ireland.
There was an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the video, but one pro-life campaigner shared this shocking response.
The image is twisted version of street artist Maser’s mural that was painted on the side of the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar, which was swiftly removed for being in violation of the Planning & Development Acts (2000-2015).
Rather than silencing the Repeal campaign, however, the removal of the mural only served to further the public’s awareness of the issue.
If you’re a supporter of the Repeal the 8th movement, the March For Choice 2016 will be taking place this Saturday at 1.30pm from the Garden Of Remembrance at Parnell Square, marking the Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion.
