Into hugs? Yes.
Into big gatherings of love? Sure.
And looking to receive a life-changing embrace from a tiny Indian woman?
Always.
…then you should definitely read on.
You may have noticed posters around Dublin as of late like so:
And if you haven’t, you’ll definitely notice them on your walk home from now on. The story behind them is basically, a female prophet from India named Mata Amritanandamayi, or Amma for short, will be in Citywest, Dublin next weekend giving out hugs on her hugging world tour.
So, hugs?

Yes, yes it does. But it’s also something we definitely want to check out.
Okay…
She has literally millions of followers worldwide, and, in our opinion, if you’re going to worship something on a global scale, then you could be doing a lot worse. Why not worship the little old hugging woman who just wants to spread joy and happiness.
Please, tell me more
This whole thing takes place Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October in The Convention Centre in Citywest, and doors open on both days at 8:30am. Everything kicks off at 10am, with devotees collecting ‘hug tokens’ and assembling into neat queues in order to tuck into some fine embracing.
Check her out here, in all her finery.
And, what’s the catch?
No catch. Just good times, chilled vibes and free admission. It’s a no brainer.
Now, we don’t know about you, but we’re keen to tuck into some of that sweet sweet hugging…
