Looking for a new bucket list activity? Sure why don’t you try a new cocktail every weekend for the next six months? We got you.

Dublin has some pretty insane bars right now and with a deadly venue often comes an interesting menu. Sometimes I find myself looking at a cocktail menu and freaking out because there’s just too much choice and I order the safe option.

Recently however, I’ve taken it upon myself to discover Dublin’s best cocktails. I’ve tried my fair share and have now compiled them into a gorge alphabetical list for you guys to explore – Ideal.

Absinthe Sour – The Sitting Room

This citrusy drink is sure to blow your socks off, it’s pretty darn strong.

Made from French Absinthe, Unripe Grape Juice, Cherry, Honey, Egg White, this lil beauty costs €12.

Bathtub Gin Time – Candlelight Bar

This is one of my favourite cocktails ever.

Everything about it screams goals. It’s made from Hendricks Gin, orange Curacaos, Fever Tree Elderflower tonic, lemon juice and a lavender rose foam. The bespoke cocktail is made to share and is ideal for two or three mates looking to try something a little different.

You even get to keep your rubber duck! YAY!

For 22 beans, this is seriously worth it.

Chaos – The Black Market

Upstairs in The Market Bar you’ll find this intriguing cocktail spot.

This drink is made from Havana Club 3YO, Plymouth Sloe Gin, honey water, lime, mint, Hellfire bitters and a Talisker Mist. Shaken & served over crushed ice for €11.

Dirty Wizard – Vintage Cocktail Club

Chilli infused Ketel One Vodka, Gingerbread and Blackcurrant Liqueur, cranberry juice, fresh citrus, egg whites, with a ginger nut rim, berry skewer and a fresh mint sprig, this is the cocktail of dreams.

Espresso Martini – Roberta’s

It’s hard to find an espresso martini that stands out from the rest but when I tried this one I was blown away, it tastes just like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange but it still has that bitter coffee kick.

It’s made from Ketel One Oranje, Coffee Liquor, coffee, sugars and orange zest and costs €11.

This drink is a modern twist on the grasshopper using Johnny Walker Black Label, Fernet Branca, White Chocolate & Kaffir. It’s served over block ice with a fragrant mint sprig and makes for the perfect companion to your post dinner chats. ????

The Chealsea Drugstore know how to make the perfect rum old fashioned. Made from Diplomatico Reserve, orange marmalade, Mozart Chocolate Bitters with an Orange Chocolate & Coffee Bean Smoke, this decadent cocktail has a stunningly unique flavour.

You’ll nab this lil number for €11.50.

1860’s Rye Whisky, shaken with fresh lemon juice, sugar, egg white and crowned with a splash of red wine.

This divine cocktail is classy AF.

This beauty is made from vodka, lemon, berry cordial and prosecco.

It’s sweet, sour and proper lush.

Queen Wolf – Liquor Rooms

Step down the stairs into one of the best venues for cocktails in Dublin. The seductive lighting and warm surroundings will make you never want to leave. At €11 this is one of the best drinks in town

Jameson caskmates, whiskey liqueur, fennel liqueur, ginger liqueur, lemon, walnut bitters, red wine float.

Rhubarb Tart – Fade Street Social

This vodka based cocktails is made from Absolut Vanilla, fresh lemon juice, rhubarb purée, rosemary sugar and rhubarb bitters.

It’s also just a class place to kick back and have a few scoops with your mates.

This unique cocktail is insane.
