Dublin delivers yet again this weekend with a rake of events covering everything from ballet to beer and french films to debates on free will. Read on for some very unique events in the city this weekend…

Ballet Ireland – Swan Lake

The most famous and unforgettable ballet of all time will be receiving a much deserved performance from the famed Ballet Ireland in the appropriately beautiful Gaiety theatre. If you have never had the opportunity to see this masterpiece, you will have a hard time finding a better group to perform it. Get tickets while you can, it runs until Saturday in the Gaiety!

Brews We Plate Craft Beer & Dinner Pop-Up

Tomorrow BrewsWePlate will team up with Donegal’s Kinnegar Brewing for another great night of food and beer. The night will kick off at 8pm in the underground caves of Vision Collector in Sunset Studios on Cecelia Street where guests can expect 5 exquisite courses of food paired with 5 finely crafted, all natural farmhouse beers from Kinnegar. The number of tickets are limited and available here, so get in while you can!

IFI French Film Festival

Returning for an impressive 15th year, the French Film Festival is proof that there are more than enough cinephiles in Dublin to merit such a specific event. With the best of new French feature films on show, as well as documentaries and a few French classics, there is more than enough to intrigue any cinemagoers’ french fancy. The festival will run until November 30th.

Bantum Brunch

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the Odessa club and restaurant is throwing an unusual celebratory brunch featuring funky music from top Irish electric band Bantum. An interesting combination of great food and great music, there is surely no more stylish a way to enjoy a mid-afternoon meal. If the weekend always seems to go to fast and you need something to look forward to on Monday then check this out. Award winning comedian and science enthusiast Robert Ince will be combining his love of both comedy and science in his thought provoking and hilarious show at 7pm on Monday night. The collaboration with Trinity’s Science Gallery justifiably gives this thinking man’s comedian the credibility he deserves, allowing Ince to investigate whether or not we truly have free will, outlining his thesis in his uniquely shouty, outlandish and wonderful way.
