Another week, another new venue opening their doors to the people of Dublin…
This time round it’s Bar Rua on the site of the old Clarendon Inn at 32 Clarendon Street. Bar Rua is a modern take on the traditional Irish pub, open 7 days a week.
They also have a very interesting staff policy, in that they only hire people with red hair in keeping with the ‘rua’ theme:
“We see Bar Rua as something very special and unique that is not currently offered to the Dublin market. This is an Irish bar through and through. We are selling Irish Beers, Irish food, we have Irish music acts, Irish art proudly displayed on our walls, promotion of the Irish language around our bar… so what’s more Irish than a red head?!”
Sara Moore, Owner of Bar Rua
But don’t worry if you’re in the market for a job and lacking in ginger locks, because they’re an equal opportunities employer.
Their walls are emblazoned with some great pieces of art, all by Irish artists.
They’ll have live music Thursday through to Sunday, and their food menu will be kicking off in the coming weeks.
But for now guests can enjoy a huge selection of Irish and international craft beers, wines, cocktails and prosecco.
You can find out more about Bar Rua here. Alternatively, pop in after work for a drink some night this week – they’re open from 5pm every evening.
