The Haunting Soldier, a World War One sculpture on display in St. Stephen’s Green, has been vandalised with red paint this morning.
The six-foot statue represents a soldier returning from war and was put in place to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
The temporary installation is scheduled to be removed on November 26. Gardaí were at the scene this morning and an investigation is underway.
