We are all highly anticipating the upcoming Dublin Fringe Festival that starts this weekend.
There are so many shows to choose from and sometimes it can be hard to decide what you might like to go and see.
Well this show has undertaken an unusual twist on the traditional style of performance and it sounds really interesting.
I Have A Tribe’s We Have a Tribe show designed especially for this year’s Dublin Fringe Festival to celebrate music as a powerful and universal language.
The project by Dubliner, Patrick O’Laoghaire, wants to break the norms of a the usual gig we all attend and instead wants you to get involved and become, part of the tribe.
Patrick will perform alongside talented musicians; MaryKate Geraghty, Danny Snow, Philip Doran and Robbie Kitt and rather than just watching them, he wants to join the audience and the performers together into creating a truly unique and wonderful piece. It sounds exciting.
You can watch this very creative video below to give you an idea of what to expect.
We would love to become part of this tribe…
The description of the show reads:
“What if the whole room becomes part of the tribe? Everybody has within themselves, since birth, a relationship with rhythm, a sense of timing, a natural affinity with sound, play, communication, response, curiosity, release. All you need is the confidence to explore it, the right space, the right energy – a tribe to join. Come join. Come get free. I Have a Tribe, You have a Tribe, We Are a Tribe. So, come see the show. Or, come be the show.“
The show will take place in The Chocolate Factory on Kings Inn Street, Dublin on September 16 and 17 at 8pm.
Tickets are priced at €16 and you can buy them here.
