Now here’s a conversation starter…

The Repeal Project is a jumper-based campaign that uses outwear gives a voice to a hidden problem in Ireland. The initiative was set up when the founder found herself frustrated by the lack of communication about such a massive social issue.

The jumpers are simple black sweatshirts with the word ‘REPEAL’ emblazoned across the chest, and will be available to purchase online at repeal.ie from June 30. They are printed and manufactured by The T-Shirt Company based in North Stand, Dublin.

They cost €25, and proceeds from every sale will go to the Abortion Rights Campaign Ireland.

Repeal Project’s first pop-up will be then open in Indigo & Cloth this Friday, July 1 to Sunday July 3, from 12pm – 4pm. The menswear store on East Essex Street has very kindly opened their doors to the Repeal Project.

Too often men are excluded from the #repealthe8th conversation just as women’s stories can be silenced. Launching in a menswear store reiterates that this isn’t just a political issue effecting women, but a human rights issue effecting everyone.
