You’re Checking Out Whelan’s ‘Ones To Watch 2017’ This Weekend – Here’s Why

Sarah

Popular music venue on Wexford St, Whelan’s, is hosting its annual ‘Ones To Watch’ festival this weekend, which showcases the best emerging talent in the country alongside some artists that have taken the next step and are planning releases in 2017.

The festival covers a wide range of music, from folk, indie, hip-hop, electronic, experimental, rock and more, so no matter what your taste in music you’re pretty damn sure to find some new sound to enjoy.

There will be over 60 acts performing across three stages from this evening until Sunday, with tickets available online here for a mere €10 for the full weekend (which includes a pint of Hophouse 13), with tickets also on limited sale at the door.

Acts announced to play in the stellar lineup so far include punk-loving lads The Fontaines, the singer Katie Laffan and electro-synth band Almost Ghosts.

Check out the full line-up below, and make sure you don’t miss out on what looks to be a cracking weekend.
