Got any doggies at home that would be up for an adventure on Sunday? Or do you need to give your friends or parents a few days notice to take a loan of their dogs? If so, we've got the perfect event for you...

The Bow Wow Times in association with doggy subscription service Ruby & Duke are inviting dog owners to come together and walk the Sandymount Strand to raise funds and awareness for Dogs Trust, Ireland's largest Dog Welfare Charity.

This is a free event for the public and Ruby & Duke will be donating €3 to Dogs Trust for every person who attends. The walk will begin at 1pm at the car park across from the Esso Garage on Strand Road and there will be goodie bags packed with treats for your dog, courtesy of Ruby & Duke.

We were chatting to Caroline from The Bow Wow Times about the event, and she said:

"Animal welfare is something we are passionate about at The Bow Wow Times and following stories about the huge amount of dogs abandoned each year in the UK and Ireland, we're putting our paws together to do something positive"

This is a great little initiative, not only because it's creating a social space for dog lovers to meet up, but also because it's giving back to a charity which works so hard for the safety of dogs in Ireland. Any dog owners that are interested in taking part, you can register for free on The Ruby & Duke Website. Roll on Sunday!
