Parts of north Dublin were without water today due to the damage caused by Storm Ali.

The high winds knocked out the ESB mains of some pumps meaning that Balbriggan, Garristown and Sutton were left without water.

The outages in Balbriggan and Garristown are expected to last until 6pm, according to Fingal County Council.

There was a burst water main in Sutton this afternoon which has since been fixed, while the planned outage in Castleknock was expected to finish at 4pm.

Anyone concerned about any of those areas should visit Fingal County Council's website for more information and updates.

With the high winds causing serious damage around Dublin, ESB has also asked customers to report any emergencies to 1850 372 999, while any faults should be reported to esbnetworks.ie.
