Dublin commuters are stuck in a traffic nightmare due to fire which broke out in Dublin’s Port Tunnel this morning.
At least 10 units of the fire brigade arrived at the scene to deal with the blaze, which began around 7am this morning when a truck caught fire, and it is now extinguished. However, northside and southside bores of the tunnel are still closed due to the accident.
A man was taken to the hospital because of the conflagration, but it is understood to have been a precautionary measure.
Commuters remain stuck in traffic because of the incident, take a look below to see what some of them had to say on Twitter about it.

The ban of the movement of heavy goods vehicles through the tunnel has now been lifted, but it remains unclear as to when the tunnel will resume normal service.
