An Era Ends As Eircom Finally Removes Phone Boxes From Dublin’s City Centre

Okay, we may not have used one of these in the past 15 years, but a part of us still finds it hard to accept that they’re going away.

Snapped in Dublin’s city centre today, workers for Eircom can be seen in the picture below removing quite a few telephone boxes.

Are we the only ones that feel a genuine pang of sadness at seeing these outdated payphones finally get put out to pasture? Yes? Gotcha.
