Not sure what to do for the weekend? Well the good news is that there are tonnes of things on this weekend, we picked a few events that we thought sounded new and exciting. We think the outdoor cinema on Saturday is a must visit, read on to learn more…
The Big Grill BBQ Festival
Fancy attending probably the biggest BBQ in the city? I don’t think there is a better way to round up the summer than with a big feed in Herbert Park. Tickets for this festival range between €5 to €15 and there will be tonnes of different BBQ foods and beers to choose from.
Dark & Stormy
Even if it’s lashing rain and the power goes, the party’s still on. Expect live music, experiments, workshops, theatre, and cocktails against a backdrop of extreme weather and bizarre climate. No need to batten down the hatches, just book your free ticket for a stormy night of weird weather and climate chaos at the Science Gallery.
Good Will Hunting – Outdoor Cinema Fitzwilliam Square
In response to the tragic death of Robin Williams, Happenings are holding an outdoor cinema this Saturday in Fitzwilliam Square with donations from the ticket sales going to a mental health charity (details coming soon). Gates open at 19:30 and tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for children.
Holi One Colour Festival
Holi One Colour Festival is coming to Dublin 2014! Thousands of people, dressed in white, come together to share in music, dance, performance art and visual stimulation. Holi One brings this unforgettable experience to cities all around the world.
Citizen’s Wallpaper Exhibition
The Citizens Wallpaper is a space where people can speak about themselves, their experiences, discoveries and memories. The idea is to encourage people to talk to each other, to learn from one another and to celebrate differences through creativity. The Citizens Wallpaper reflects contemporary issues. It explores modern cultural connections by sharing extracts from personal stories, giving a powerful voice to communal experiences.
