A feast of exotic, urban tunes are in store for you this Friday in the Twisted Pepper. Mumdance, an acclaimed producer and remixer on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, headlines this one. Expect an unpredictable cocktail of UK- and South American-influenced urban sounds. Novelist, a hotly tipped MC from London’s resurgent grime scene, will also be performing on the night. The magnetic French-born Manu Chao will be making a rare Irish appearance as the next act in the splendid series of gigs at this venue. Manu Chao infuses his work with numerous influences, both in terms of sound and languages. A veteran performer at this stage, Chao’s gigs are always very energetic affairs.
The Sugar Club's dazzling series of movie and DJ nights continues with a screening of NY77, a film which chronicles the rise of disco which coincided with one of the Big Apple's darker periods. On top of this, you'll also get to experience the expert mixing of the veteran figure, DJ Nature. Guaranteed boogie!
