Snowmaggaden is here and if there's one thing that being cooped inside makes us wanna do, it's EAT.
Whether it's a caveman survival instinct or just pure greed we're not sure, we do know that thanks to Storm Emma the average Dubliner will gain five lbs.
(We made that up but hey, we see you with that hot chocolate and bakewell tart at 10am. You do you.)
So where to get some last-minute grub if your fridge isn't stocked too well or you're just plain lazy? Here's a few spots in town that are staying open during today's storm to feed the city:
Rosa Madre, Temple Bar: Lunch and Dinner

Brickyard Gastropub, Dundrum: Lunch, Dinner (and most importantly) PINTS
We’re open from 12 today for lunch, dinner and pints. Thank you to both Fergal and Marggie who live locally, are completely mad and decided to join Erwin behind the bar and Simon in the kitchen. pic.twitter.com/AV8hs2ZBWB

White Moose Cafe, Phibsboro: Food and Bread!
WE’RE OPEN FOR BUSINESS TODAY
We’re not suggesting you drive long distances to visit us, but we may help locals (who can walk) to relieve their cabin fever. If it’s too dangerous for the staff to get home, they can stay in the hotel and go on a sesh!
P.S. We have lots of bread pic.twitter.com/PMtztBxl5O

The Stella Theatre, Rathmines: Food and Movies
Hi Charlotte. Yes we will be open today.
— Stella Theatre (@StellaDublin) March 1, 2018
Catch-22, Clarendon Street: Lunch and Dinner (weather permitting)
Looking for a bite to eat ahead of Storm Emma? Our kitchens will be open until further notice, as our friends at Bar Rua work overtime getting the terrace de-iced!
Weather permitting, this may change later... #sneachta #snowday #StormEmma pic.twitter.com/OSzEW8t6a4

Legit Coffee Co., Meath St: Brunch!
Bewley's, Grafton St: Coffee and Lunch until 2pm
— Bewley's Ireland (@BewleysIreland) March 1, 2018
It might sound crazy that places are opening today, but if staff live within walking distance and are willing to do so then we get why some businesses would want to make the most of being able to use the fresh produce they'd ordered in.
Good luck out there to anyone who does decide to brave it x
