This New WINE Advent Calendar Is All We Want For Christmas

Gone are the days when the humble advent calendar was for kids – a Christmas treat with a daily ration of cheap chocolate (honestly – how were we impressed by that?) 

These days, they seem to be mainly for adults, and everyone’s getting in on the act.

We’ve seen advent calendars containing gin, prosecco, cheese, fake tan…

Now supermarket chain Iceland are jumping aboard the adultvent calendar (we should really trademark that) bandwagon with a wine advent calendar.

This boozy Christmas treat contains twenty-four 187-ml bottles (not full-size bottles? Aww…) of some of the most well-known wines from all over the world – from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to Chilean Merlot.

There’s also some festive mulled wine and prosecco in there to mix it up a bit!

It’s now in stores in the UK and we’ve reached out to Iceland to find out if and when it’s going to come to Ireland. 

It’s also available on Amazon here but is out of stock at the moment. 

Worth keeping an eye on though, because at €44/£40 a calendar it works out as just €1.86 a bottle. 

What a time to be alive.
