The Government are set to roll out a car-sharing scheme, similar to that of Dublin Bikes, before the end of the year.
According to the Irish Independent, over 100 electric vehicles (EV) will be available in both Cork and Dublin.
The Government want to increase the number of EVs on the road, to reduce transport emissions.

The Government also plan to implement roadshows around the country to highlight the advantages and to address people’s worries about the electric cars.
The plans include a roadshow in the National Ploughing Championship where people will get the chance to drive an EV.
